If you need guidance on local accommodations, dining, or things to do during your stay, our friendly team is happy to provide recommendations. We want your time in Corpus Christi to be comfortable and enjoyable, not just medically productive.
We ask that out-of-town patients plan to arrive at least two to three days before their scheduled surgery date. This allows time for your in-person preoperative appointment, where you will meet with Dr. Hinojosa and her care team, review your treatment plan in detail, and address any final questions before the day of surgery. Coming in a few days early also gives you time to settle in, rest, and feel fully prepared before your procedure.
Preparing for Surgery
To help streamline your visit, our team can work with your primary care physician back home to coordinate any necessary preoperative labs or medical clearances in advance. We will send you all required paperwork ahead of your arrival so that nothing feels rushed once you are here. Most procedures at our practice are performed on an outpatient basis, meaning you will be able to return to your accommodations the same day as surgery.

Recovery and Follow-Up Care
Recovery timelines vary depending on the procedure performed, but most out-of-town patients should plan to remain in the Corpus Christi area for approximately one to two weeks following surgery. Your first postoperative appointment will typically take place within a few days of your procedure, with additional follow-ups scheduled as needed before you are cleared to return home.
Once you have made it home safely, Dr. Hinojosa and her team remain fully available to support you. We offer virtual follow-up appointments to monitor your healing and answer any questions that may arise.
